My short stay at Lee Abbey has been an incredible experience I will never forget. Having never travelled outside of the US and studying abroad for a one year Masters degree in classical acting, Lee Abbey was my first warm introduction to the beautiful London scene. I met countless number of people around the world, established great connections of friends and was blessed by the selfless care of the wonderful staff.

I have been encouraged by the love and support of every person I’ve come in contact with and thank God for Lee Abbey establishing my footing to what has already been a remarkable 6 months of school. Thanks, Lee Abbey!

I chose Lee Abbey as a home because it was close to uni, it ensured a peaceful place to live and study due to its Christian background and it provided fresh breakfast all mornings, especially when you are in a rush to get to early hour classes. 🙂
Lee Abbey joins cultures and languages from all over the world under the same roof. Sharing the dining table with more than hundred people is definitely an exceptional and enriching experience. I got the opportunity to make friends from different countries. The social events and study spaces gave me the possibility to enjoy the art of talented musicians, connect with staff members (some became like my sisters) and ask for advice from senior students, regarding academic matters.
I decided to serve in the community because I wanted to have a break from the intense academic year. It provided me the opportunity to experience London while serving God in a flexible and different way. I like that Lee Abbey has an eternal purpose: bringing God to people. I like that here we have the chance to do it in a non-conventional but impactful way, by choosing to give our best in the big and small tasks we are called to do.
