The social life of Lee Abbey London is one of the most important aspects of what we aim to do, which is helping to build healthy relationships with each other and with God. We hope to bring students, residents and Community members together and provide an atmosphere where long-lasting friendships can be established during your time here. We do this in a variety of ways: through our relaxed Café space where we host musicians and artists, through our free Community-hosted coffee bar where we can relax, chat and play board games with other residents over a hot drink, through our formal and themed dinners where we gather to eat and celebrate, through trips and outings where we explore this incredible city we live in, through movie, quiz and themed nights where we have fun and unwind, and through hosting invited speakers who inspire and challenge our way of life. We really look forward to you being part of our Community.

There are loads of ways to get involved

Welcome Week

At the start of the academic year we organise a “Welcome Week” to help you settle in and get to know people. In 2017, events included a speed friending night, an ice cream party, a quiz night, live music, a Worship Café and a formal dinner. All our Community members and staff would love to get to know you and are here to help, so feel free to ask us anything.

We also arrange for the local community liaison officer from the Metropolitan Police to come and give a presentation to students on keeping safe in London. This is always greatly appreciated by students who are new to this great city and gives them confidence as London residents.
