The social life at Lee Abbey London is full and active – and it’s a key part of what we offer. We love bringing people together and providing an atmosphere where friendships blossom. We believe community life is all about building healthy relationships with each other and also with God.

Our relaxed café space is a great place to meet new friends, especially on nights where we host musicians and artists. We also lay on formal and themed dinners where we gather to eat and celebrate, and organise movie and quiz nights where we have fun and unwind. There are regular opportunities to hear special visiting speakers who inspire and challenge us. What’s more, we organise lots of trips and outings so we can explore this amazing city together.

We look forward to you being a part of our community.

Welcome Week

At the start of the academic year we organise a ‘welcome week’ to help you settle in and get to know people. Events include a quiz night, live music, ‘around the world in 80 minutes’ featuring great food and drink, and a welcome dinner. It’s a chance to get to know community members and staff at Lee Abbey too. We’re excited about meeting you and we’re here to help, so feel free to ask us anything.

We also arrange for the local community liaison officer from the Metropolitan Police to come and give a presentation to students on keeping safe in London. This gives students who are new to this great city all the information they need to explore it with confidence.
