Arriving in London to begin my Master’s at the Royal College of Music was not only my first time visiting London but also the furthest from my home town of Sydney I had ever been. Given the intensity of the course I was to undertake, the full catering and cleaning services were what initially sold me on Lee Abbey but the Godly volunteers and camaraderie with fellow residents is what made Lee Abbey a genuine home away from home.
The tireless work of the Lee Abbey team from the volunteers to the catering and leadership teams meant I was able to focus on my studies and give me the best chance to succeed, while also allowing me to build new friendship networks in a relaxed and stress-free environment. When I completed my studies in 2018, I was able to move out of Lee Abbey knowing I had a much stronger grasp on London life, and with confidence that no matter how far future residents may hail from, the team at Lee Abbey would make the transition into U.K. life as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
