Lee Abbey London is looking for a new Director to lead this residential Christian community serving students from around the world through hospitality, outreach and service. The community run a hall of residence for 160 students of any nationality or faith who study at many different colleges in London. With over 50 years’ experience of serving students and “communicating Christ through relationships”, Lee Abbey London has a strong history of ministry and service but also faces new challenges as we look to refurbish our building and renew our ministry and effectiveness for years to come.

The Director should be a committed Christian, secure in and enthused about their faith in Jesus Christ. While Lee Abbey is an Anglican foundation, its culture and outlook is ecumenical and welcoming. The post is open to lay or ordained men or women.

Supported by the Board of Trustees and working with a core leadership team, the Director has overall responsibility for:

  • Spiritual Leadership of the international and ecumenical Community
  • Hospitality and ministry to the students
  • Mission and training
  • Managing a successful student residence.

Lee Abbey London is part of a wider network under the umbrella of the Lee Abbey Movement, sharing Christ through relationships, nationally and globally.

This is a residential post that requires full membership of the residential Christian community at Lee Abbey London:

  • Full-time
  • Initial 5-year contract (fixed term)
  • Stipend plus 2-bedroom apartment incl. utilities & meals
  • Pension & benefits
  • Based in Kensington, London
