• Are you called to live and work in a Christian community?
• Are you wondering what
to do next with your life?
• Are you considering taking a “Gap” year before moving
on with your education or career?
• Do you feel that God might be calling you to give a year of service
to Him?
• Do you feel called to work with international students?
• Are you interested in living and working with other Christians
who together seek to encourage one another and put Christ at the centre
of their lives?
If you think this might
be you, then Lee Abbey in London might be what you’re looking for.
The community at Lee Abbey in
London is made up of Christians from around the world who join us for
a year at a time. There are about 40 people on the community from a wide
range of backgrounds and cultures. Together we provide a welcome to the
many students and other guests who come to Lee Abbey.
The community lifestyle involves living, working and worshipping together.
It is a challenging way of life, but a rewarding one.
• We believe God has called us to provide a “home from home”
for international students studying in London. This means being God’s
welcome to all our guests whether they are Christians or not.
• As with the rest of the Lee Abbey Movement we aim to “communicate
Christ through relationships”.
Here in London, this means going out of our way to befriend the students.
It also means that we try to do everything – whether it is cleaning
toilets or leading worship – as though it is Christ we are serving.
